Sally's Adventure Club is a woodland sanctuary for any nature lover from the very young to the very old. Immersive storytelling led by passionate raconteur and Forest School Leader Sally Bailey, creating crafts and games from the forest floor, singing to the treetops and embracing every month of the year.
The very young have the opportunity to learn how to walk on the uneven woodland ground, which in turn helps them to develop a strong sense of balance, spacial awareness and personal risk taking - as their parents forest bathe under the ancient oaks. Older adventurer's are introduced to tools and forest crafts whilst being serenaded by robins and woodpeckers. Sally's Adventure club offers an environment where forest play in the fresh air is embraced with energy and enthusiasm, and there is always time to lay on the ground and reflect, taking a mindful moment to nurture wellbeing and happiness. Adventures continue every day throughout term time in various locations exploring new stories each session. There are holiday camps scheduled every school break, forest birthday parties for all ages as long as you have imagination, a passion for nature and love the outdoors.
Note from Sally - My upbringing involved playing in the woods for hours, making dens, mud pies and telling stories in fields of barley, golden memories that will stay with me forever. My journey has been a colourful one taking me on adventures through the film and music industry, training as an OFSTED approved childminder and becoming a Mum. My understanding of people and children in particular has blossomed over the years. I soon came to realised that most are happier in natural surroundings - no walls and a big sky became my mantra. Offering a setting where everyone feels a sense of achievement and inclusion, a safe place promoting wellbeing and self confidence. My forest school studies (Level 3, Forest School Leader completed at Bridgewater and Taunton College) clarified my approach to working with children and families.
My main focus in life is to encourage children and families to love, respect and understand their natural surroundings... come rain or shine’
